Day Twenty-One

Hey guys !

Things happened quickly so now I've many things to say.

Yesterday, my local coordinator went to pick me up to go with the two other french students to the Speed Farm Field Day, which is a reunion to show the biggest innovation of agriculture, a.k.a who has the biggest machine. And we found who did :

This one was truly oversized.

But it is not the only thing we found... stay tuned for next picture!

Day Twenty

Hey guys !

Nothing interesting happened for the past two days so what about talking about birds ?

Little hop back in time to Sydney, and here we go !

I don't know what kind of bird it is, but he was looking good and fearless so I took a picture. The birds here are quite the phenomenon... and dangerous, either for your sanity or for other things...

Day Nineteen

Hey guys !

Still late but I'm coping with the lateness here so it's gonna be alright for the day twenty.

Today, I understood why I was sleeping so well on my room. The truth is, I never left home.

Because I sleep every night under the same stars as you.

With this little poetic note,
Timothée,

Day Eighteen - Week report

Hey guys!

Seems I'm still late here, my whole schedule messed up. Meh. It's Sunday post even though I post it Monday night. (Edit : 15:20 here and still haven't post it. I'm all messed up here !)

What a week! Last Monday, table tennis with Ashley. Total defeat, it was the Bérézina. He's good, way too good for my own good, but I'll learn.

Tuesday, I became an artist, but you knew that.

Wednesday, cooking time, with messed carbonaras, but you knew that too.

Thursday night, I went to a tennis training, to play again. It feels so good to replay after... Two weeks? Tennis is fun, any stop is a loss. Then I went home and I made a tiramisu to bring for Friday night party.

Friday night party: it was a party with all the exchange students, past, present and future, of Mildura. We were ten kids for almost fifty people. Among them, two french. It's weird, because every time I tried to answer "Oui", I started to say "Yeah". Something's happening to me, and I'm losing my Latin French. And as I said, it ended on a traditional Nutbush, but I still can't find the vid, it'll be for later. Seems like my tiramisu was fine too.

Saturday, first tennis game since a while! Well, I'm still faithful to my motto "You may have lost the match but not the fun". Or maybe I'm just bad at tennis, who knows...

And Sunday, I spent the whole morning driving people in a golf cab. While said people played golf. I had fun but I saw people having more fun. That makes it... bittersweet ? I dunno. And the evening we watched Aliens.

Welp, time to head for the daily picture.
I still haven't shown the whole house from the outside so here we go!

With this,
Timothée,
Over (and on time today)

Day Seventeen

Hey guys,

Sorry I'm late, but it's still the middle of the night for you so nobody saw anything.

Today I wanted to tell you something astonishing: Australian milk...

Contains milk ! The French milk is a lie !

Welp. With this, you'll get the week report tonight for me, which means somewhere along midday for you.

Have fun.

Day Sixteen

Hey guys !

Today, I went to a party with all the exchange students of Mildura !
Well we're not much but it was fun.

Here is a little picture. But it even finished in an improvised nutbush, I'll get get you some video too.

Day Fifteen

Hey guys !

I promised you a picture of my cooking, here it is.

My first attempt to make pasta with sauce... Well, the carbonara ended up as scrambled eggs. But carbonara flavoured scrambled eggs. Because some people didn't have the flavour so, it's not that bad.

With this, Timothée,

Day Fourteen

Hey guys !

Today's not a picture, but it's a link that links to a picture so, not cheating here, I'm still on track.

Remember, I said that I had a picture with some Milduran Motorbike legend. Well I just found it back.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B0SzERMhB8P/

Btw I know I promised you a picture of my cooking, but it's not on my phone but on a friend's one, and I don't have it so you'll have to wait tomorrow.
For your information, cooking went wrong and we went for carbonaras pastas. Useless to say, first time's always a fail... you'll see how much it was ! Bets are open !

Day Thirteen

Hey everyone.

Today, let's talk about fine arts. Cause fine arts are fun. Today, we actually played with some aquarelle, and we had fun.

Now I can proudly sing "J'aurais aimé être un artiste" cause I really wish to be better. But this one was fine. I like doing that kind of things, even if the result doesn't follow. Tomorrow's cooking day (hopefully) so you'll get a little picture of the magnificent coconut loaf that we're planning.

Maybe.

With this,
Timothée, Over.

Day Twelve

Mmmh... the week is starting, but nothing new is coming up... I need something to please my readers... Something cute, and fluffy... a cat ? Not fluffy enough. TWO cats ? That'll do.

Alongside with Wharfy, we also possess those two demonic fluffy creatures, named from right to left "Fat boy" even though it's a girl, and "Little demon that comes the night to wake me up when I'm sleeping" even though it's... a girl yeah but one doesn't exclude the other. Of course, that's the names I gave them, they have official names, but they're so boring so I forgot them. Like all the names that I hear actually.

Maybe another day will be funnier.

Day Eleven - Week report

Hey guys.

I promised you a thorough report of my week, so here we go. (I'll include the first days so it's actually a week and a half report this time.)

So after something like 23 hours of flight (felt like forever though, but, hey, at least I watched great movies, Intouchables for example) we landed at Sydney Airport. We passed through security, without great difficulty (I actually sweated a little when they made us fill that ESTA-like thingy and that I saw "I carry more than 2250 ml of alcohol YES NO" and I thought about that wine in my luggage but everything went well.) and we waited in the hall for other students.

After picking them up, we took the bus and went to the camp, in a suburb of Sydney. At the camp, we had all sorts of activities, some fun, some less (the redux version of all the things we've been told all the time about rules, regulation, etc. But the true fun lied in exploration.

Like I already said, there is some sort of reserve next to the camp, with so many hidden paths and a river. So every time we had a spare moment, I and some friends explored, and went everywhere: up to the waterfalls and rocks to climb, or down following the river, and so many more rocks to climb and jump and doing parkour. And as I love jumping and climbing on rocks, that's what I loved the most. We even saw wallabies and lyrebird on the way. And the sunrise from the top of the waterfall was quite the show.

On the second night, there was a talent show, for the people that wanted to show something, and although I didn't want to at first, after being literally pulled onto the stage, we pulled off our sleeve an interpretation of Aux Champs Elysées, and we had quite a success, so, it was fun, ultimately.

Then came a trip to Sydney where we had fun discovering the city, and, when we arrived, we found that there was a French Festival. We found some nice shops, including one named "France at home", whose keeper was French, and we exchanged some words, it was a surprise but so nice.

Then the initiation camp was over, and we headed off to our respective family, and we headed for the airport. That day, I was the luckier of all the poor guys that went with me. We were separated into groups, one of whose had to get up at 3 AM, and the others later. I woke up later. Unfortunately for all those who woke up later, almost all the flights to Melbourne were cancelled. Of course, almost all national flights had to go through Melbourne. Let's all have a little thought to the poor guys that spent 13 hours on a bus from Sydney to Melbourne.

My flight was luckily still programmed, so off we go. What was weird enough is that I got controlled because of my compass in my pencil case, while there was no problem in other airports. Funny.
Once arrived at Melbourne, I had three hours of wait, but thanks to Stephen, I had access to the Qantas voyager lounge, and that is so cool. Free, limitless food and drinks, showers, big information screens, that's some luxury. There, I met two brothers from Mildura, apparently quite known, some national motocross champions. I even had a picture with them, I'll try to get it.

Then, the second flight to Mildura, and it was that famous plane, the DeHavilland dash 8-400 turboprop, A.K.A the little plane with helices. Well, it must have been the smoother flight I've ever had, cause I slept all the way. That or I didn't want to see my next seat neighbour, cause that guy was like thrice my weight and literally took a place and a half into the already little plane.

Then I met my family, and that was the most thrilling moment. I literally jumped on them, we had fun at the airport and everybody was happy. Then we went home, had some pizzas, went for a night walk, and I went to bed.

Sunday was a beautiful day, I had an adaptation day, learned the rules, tried my uniform, went for a walk, and had fun. Then, Monday, real things started... School.

Guys, the school in Australia is the best. Everybody, from the headmaster to the teachers and the students are so nice, the ambiance is so friendly, all the hierarchy is involved to the point that even the headmaster come to dance lesson with the students. Among the new subjects that I study, we can find "Fine arts" which is an upgraded version of our arts in France and include drawing, painting, and photography; "Food and Hospitality", which is basically cooking, Italian (sorry Elora :P) and ID, in which we currently design a new playground for the school.

The school passed quite quickly, and there's not much to talk about yet, but I made myself some good friends.

Which lead to yesterday night. Because that's the question that burns all of your lips, I know it. Where was I yesterday night, when almost all the family was at the debutante ball and Amelia home alone? Well, like they say, a picture is better than one thousand words, so here we go!

A birthday party! My very first birthday party in Australia, I was so thrilled when I got invited! It was so fun, we had some good laugh, some good laser sniping, and so much money spilled (not mine) on that stupid plushie grab machine that never works, and a beautiful night. That's my crew now.

I hope you liked that first recap and with this,
Timothée, Over.

Day Ten

Because there's not only me in life (even though it's my blog), let's talk about someone else !

This is a picture of the debutante ball, an event for the older kids, where my host brother Tom went. There all so formal and stuff, but that must be quite a long day, because they actually scheduled a FIVE HOURS SHOOTING PHOTO SESSION ! Wouldn't want to be in his place, thanks. But he looks really great (although with the white gloves he really looks like a butler).

And if you're looking closely in the picture, you'll see he's not in there. Don't ask me where he is.

But as I said, this is where I didn't go. So where was I ? You'll learn that tomorrow... yes I like cliffhangers.

Timothée,
Over.

Day Nine

Hey guys, yeah I'm posting earlier than usual but tomorrow is the weekend so I won't wake up early enough to get in time and, you know, hour differences and yada yada here's the picture.

Because you all wonder in what kind of house I live, here's the family room !

And by decree and because this blog is mine so I do what I want, I declare that every Friday, I'll get you the picture of a room of the house (till I run out of it of  course).

I also saw that day one (including two and three if you followed) has disappeared, probably due to a failure from my side, so this blog officially start by day four. We already said that logic was out of the question, so meh.

Tomorow... I don't know what I'll post but Sunday, you can expect a more descriptive post about my whole week as some had requested, and also a little surprise about the picture... something I would not have expected that soon.

With this, have fun,
Timothée, Over.

jeudi 18 juillet 2019

Day Eight

Because we never have enough coolness in life, here's my super cool sport uniform ! Cause it's cool.

Green and black. Sounds to cool for me. And I've never really appreciated green ! I guess sometimes things change. Slytherin for the win !

With this, Timothée,
Over.

Day Seven

Wow, one week already ? How time flies ! Feel so good to be here.

Shall we talk about school? Yeah let's talk about school. Because the English is their language, it means we have books to read. Today's a little advice for people looking for books that society finds suitable for us.

Spoiler : both are quite good. Read them.

Day Six

Hey guys ! What about we stay in some exotic places while I'll introduce you one of the family member (kinda).

Because we all have cats and dogs, allow me to introduce Wharfy!

Wharfy is an aquatic turtle way to cute to be honest. I'm sure she's hiding some poisonous parts or something to try to kill you. We're in Australia after all.

With this note of paranoia, Timothée,
Over.

Day Five

Hey guys, welcome to the fifth day of my journey, a.k.a my first day of school ! Today, I'll share with you my first uniform (And it's damn cool ! I'm gonna wear that back in St Etienne !)

Also, school in Australia is way funnier than in France. The ambiance is relaxed and the relationship with the teachers are cooler. And now I'm doing Italian, Art and food ! I'll cook you more spaghettis!

Timothée,
Over.

dimanche 14 juillet 2019

Day Four

Yes, because the two and three we're included in the first. Logic ? Never heard of that animal.

Speaking of animal, today's photo is an animal, known for its aggressive behaviour to protect its kind, and its national title of boxe, category 200 kg and higher (although I'm not sure for the first fact).

Allow me to show you my first kangaroo

Yeah, it's pretty far away. But open the eyes of your heart and you'll see a kangaroo.

Till next time
Timothée, over.
